Grape Pomace Compost
The use of compost was already a wide-spread method of soil improvement in the ancient times. The importance of applying fertilizers was well documented in Sumerian written sources.
The overuse of agricultural methods, such as monocultures, as well as the excessive application of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides may harm any sensitive soil causing a chemical imbalance. In addition, plants absorb from the soil nutrients and chemical compounds that can be replaced with only natural substances. Our new product, ÖKOMUSZ®, restores the lost nutrients in the soil maintaining its biological activity.
Grapes are one of the most common fruit in the world. Grapestones, the seeds of grapes, retain the energy stored during ripening. Grape pomace, the side product of wine making, sustains this energy even after the fermentation of wine. There is no other bio-substance that can preserve such a great deal of energy.

Use of ÖKOMUSZ®:
- 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds) of ŐKOMUSZ is adequate to fertilize 8-10 square meters (86-107 square feet) of topsoil
- 100 kg (220 pounds) of ŐKOMUSZ has the same potency as 3-4.5 tons (6,614-9,921 pounds) of cow manure.
- When 500-600 kilogram (1,102-1,323 pounds) of ŐKOMUSZ per hectare (2.471 acres) is used, no other fertilizer is needed.
ÖKOMUSZ® is recommended for:
- Vegetable gardens: 1-1.5 kg / 10 sq. meters (2.2-3.3 lb. / 107 sq. feet)
- Flower gardens and shrubs: 1-1.5 kg / 10 sq. meters (2.2-3.3 lb. / 107 sq. feet)
- Grass: 0.8-1 kg / 10 sq. meters (1.7-2.2 lb. / 107 sq. feet)
- Fruits and berries: 0.8-1.2 kg / 10 sq. meters (1.7-2.6 lb. /107 sq. feet)
- Grains: 0.8-1 kg / 10 sq. meters (1.7-2.2 lb. / 107 sq. feet)
- Root crops: 1.2-1.5 kg / 10 sq. meters (2.6-3.3 lb. / 107 sq. feet)
- Plant boxes: 1 handful / 60 centimeters flower pot
